Here Comes The iPhone App Store

It looks like green lights all the way for the launch of the iPhone App Store this week. Most developers have been told they must submit their applications by 12 PM PDT today (Monday) to be considered for inclusion in the launch:

It’s time for me to pay off AT&T some money I owe them for breaking my previous contract with them. I hope I can use this old bill as leverage for getting an iPhone. If they can sign me up for an iPhone and new contract, then…

Early terminaion fees. Like em? FCC now looking at it.

Verizon has quietly submitted a proposal to the FCC that could quell a couple of consumers’ most significant complaints. In exchange, however, the major wireless providers would be exempt from future lawsuits over high fees and constricting policies.

I don't know that I agree that this piece is so dumb. Lots of phones that I seem to be attracted to (smartphones that are not so crackberry in appearance - decent processing power, features, multiple uses) aren't offered on…

“IBM Corp. has been temporarily banned from receiving future contracts with federal agencies, the Environmental Protection Agency confirmed on Monday.”

Bjorklund said that, until the matter is resolved, all federal agencies are likely not to award new contracts or even task orders - pieces of existing contracts - to IBM. The ban could last a few days or a few months, he said. However,…

Comcast Teams Up With BitTorrent and Promises Net Neutrality

Comcast has announced that it will lift the ban on BitTorrent traffic, which prevented its users from sharing files using the popular protocol. The ISP and BitTorrent Inc. will work together on finding customer friendly solutions for the congestion allegedly caused by BitTorrent traffic.

Haha, they are indeed, still not offering a “decent product”. When someone signs a contract for a 1mbit up line, he should be able to seed (theoretically ofcourse) 1mbit up for 24 hours, 7 days a week. UNLESS they would…
